Tim Peake – Astronauts: The Quest to Explore Space – 14th September 2024
Tim Peake is one of the UKs greatest ever astronauts.
He became the first British astronaut to join the European Space Agency, and spent 6 months aboard the international space station in 2015. He is also the first ever Brit to have walked in space.
In this short theatre tour, Tim will be sharing never before heard stories from his adventures in space, as well as those of his fellow astronauts.
You will see photographs and videos taken from the space station that can’t be seen anywhere else, as well as archive footage. You will learn about the training he had to go through, the missions he took part in before and after, how it feels to be weightless, and how it feels to look down on Earth knowing you are one of only a handful of people to have ever enjoyed that view in person.
The show takes place at the Liverpool Empire for one night only, on Saturday the 14th September at 19:30. Tickets are available for the following slightly odd prices:
- £29.64
- £38.50
- £44.04
- £49.58
- £110.52
There is also a £3.95 booking fee, and hopefully it’s obvious that the most expensive tickets are for the cloest seats with the best view, while the cheaper ones will see you sat towards the back of the auditorium.
It’s going to sell out for sure, so book early if you want to go.
This is a follow on from his 2022 show My Journey Into Space, which played to sell out audiences and received rave reviews, so you can expect more of the same this time around.
Tim has spoken about his reasons for doing another show:
“I am so honoured to have experienced the wonders of space travel myself, and yet it still continues to amaze me just how much space inspires and fascinates people of all ages.”
There’s only one show in Liverpool, you’ll have to go all the way to Edinburgh or Swansea if you miss it, so don’t dawdle.
