The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe – Liverpool Empire: 18th-22nd Feb 2025

The West End is coming to Liverpool this February.

EMG’s smash hit 2020 production of The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe is out on tour, and between the 18th and 22nd of February, it will be thrilling audiences at the Liverpool Empire.

Suitable for ages 6 and above, this most famous of C.S Lewis Chronicles of Narnia has had rave reviews from national and local press, with the Guardian saying:

“EXHILARATING PRODUCTION, SPELLBINDING SPECTACLE AND PERFECT PUPPETRY”

Mike Fenitman directs the 23 strong cast based on Sally Cookson’s original production, with the ingenious use of stage craft as well as puppets to help add depth, plus original songs and music. Combined, this creates a magical atmosphere and an epic theatrical experience that families will love, living long in the memory.

So join Peter, Susan, Edmund and Lucy, and journey with them through the wardrobe to Narnia, meet Mr Tumnus, Mr and Mrs Beaver, and help Aslan defeat the White Witch.

Tickets and Prices

Lion Witch Wardrobe Tour

They say you can get tickets for as little as £20 plus fees, but this is a little disingenuous as there aren’t many at this price and they are the worst seats in the house.

For a decent seat, you are looking closer to £50, but the various price bands are as follows:

  • £20
  • £29
  • £36
  • £49
  • £60
  • £69
  • £75
  • £90

Tickets are a little more expensive on Saturday the 22nd, and although there is a £3.95 transaction fee it is per order not per ticket.

There are 8 shows playing across the 5 days, with matinees taking place on Wednesday the 19th, Thursday the 20th and Saturday the 22nd. Matinees begin at 2:00pm and evening performances start at 7:00pm.

The show last 2 hours and 15 minutes with an interval.

Anyone thinking of going as part of an education trip can also download the Education pack which goes into detail about the themes within the story, the characters and what they represent, as well as how the production was created. Fascinating stuff.
