The Gruffalo at Liverpool Playhouse Theatre: April 8th – 12th

All parents know that the Easter Holidays can be a tricky time. The kids are off school and need entertainment, so what better way to do that than with a trip to the theatre?
Everyone’s favourite story, The Gruffalo, has been adapted for the stage by Tall Stories theatre company, at the show will be touring to the Liverpool Playhouse from the 8th to the 12th of April.
The show has been on the road for several years, but this is a bit of a special one because it marks 25 years since The Gruffalo was first published.
The much-loved tale, written by Julia Donaldson, follows Mouse who is on the hunt for a nut in the deep dark wood. On his adventure he encounters Fox, Owl, and Snake, all of whom think Mouse looks like a tasty snack. To escape, Mouse ‘invents’ the Gruffalo, but perhaps the Gruffalo is a little bit more real than Mouse thinks.
The performance promises songs, laughs and monstrous fun for children aged 3 and up and their grown-ups. You’ve read the book, you’ve seen the film, so complete the set and come watch the show in person.
It will certainly give the kids something to look forward to!
