Powells Jewellery Ladies Day at Chester Racecourse – 30th August 2025
In typical form, Chester Races are laying on an extravagant Ladies Day this summer.
Taking place on the 30th of August, it promises to be “a hive of thrilling racing”, the most extravagant fashion, mouth watering food and drink, plus live music from a special guest act.
They always make the place look beautiful, so there will be absolutely loads of photo opportunities against stunning backgrounds. Perfect for your social media feeds if you fancy showing off.
If you are particularly confident in your style choices you can even enter the Best Dressed Competition, going up against all the other fashionistas there on the day, and for some eye catching prizes.
It is possible to get in for as little as £20, but for a more special experience you might want to dig a little deeper. Here are a few of the options available:

The weather is usually good to us at the end of August, and there are few places to spend a more enjoyable day out than Chester racecourse in the sun.
Gates open at 11.30am, the first race is at 2.10pm, and the last race is at 5.35pm.
Featuring Bjorn Again (ABBA Tribute)
It’s not just the racing that makes this an event worth attending.
This year, the world’s best ABBA tribute band, Bjorn Again, will be entertaining racegoers with an extravaganza of a performance that is sure to have you singing and dancing your heart out.
This takes place after the last race and is a brilliant way to end an even better day.
I don’t know for sure what’s on their set list, but if the bookies were taking Money Money Money on it, I would back the likes of The Winner Takes it All, Dancing Queen, Waterloo, Super Trooper, and all the biggest hits.
