Oktoberfest Liverpool: 19th – 20th October 2024
Guten tag mein freund, und willkommen auf dem Oktoberfest! That’s German for “Hello my friend, and welcome to Oktoberfest!”
The festival that celebrates all things Bavarian – provided those things are beer, pretzels, and bratwurst – is back.
This event is held in cities all over the country, but in Liverpool, the venue is Exhibition Centre Liverpool and the dates are the 19th and 20th of October (obviously).
It doesn’t cost much to get in:
- Super Early Bird – £13.50
- General Admission – £16.00
Then of course you have the cost of whatever drinks you buy, any food, and any rides you go on.
Yep, there will be rides as well as loads of live music and mad cap party games everyone is encouraged to join in with. There’s even a fun house with a 30 meter long bar.
Dressing up is encouraged too, with plenty of people decked out in lederhosen or dirndl (Bavarian dresses). You’ll see blokes in the dresses and women in the lederhosen as well as people more traditionally dressed – it’s a riot.
The steins will be overflowing with frothy authentic German beer, the smell of sizzling sausages will fill the air, and the sound of Oompah bands will ring out from the stage.
There are two sessions on the Saturday, one from 12:00 until :17:00 and another from 18:00 until 23:00, and one session on the Sunday from 12:00 until 17:00. Tickets are for the session not for the whole day.
VIP Huts
If there are a group of you who might enjoy Oktoberfest, the VIP huts are a great options.
They cost £480 but they can hold up to 8 people – that’s £60 each. You would be spending near enough £15 to get in anyway, and for an extra £45 you also get:
- 8 x hats
- 16 x steins
- 8 x food tokens
- 8 x ride tokens
- 8 x Jager shots
They also come with waitress service, so you don’t need to queue at the bar like all the other dummkopf who only bought general admission tickets.
I think these are a bargain if there are enough people in your group.
