Liverpool vs Manchester City – 1st December 2024
There won’t be many bigger games this Premier League season than Liverpool vs Manchester City.
The two title contenders will meet at Anfield on Sunday the 1st of December, in a clash that will undoubtedly have a huge impact on both teams’ campaigns. City won the 2023/24 league by just 2 points, so a single win against a key opponent really can decide who lifts the trophy.
It’s fair to say that Liverpool had a slightly better start to the 2024/25 season than Man City, and with Rodri out for the season Man City will be lacking that physical presence deep in midfield, and it may give Liverpool a chance to disrupt City’s possession based style of play.
Whatever happens, it’s bound to be an exciting high stakes game even this early in the campaign.
As for how to buy tickets, that’s going be to very difficult indeed.
As everyone knows, demand far outstrips supply at Anfield, so outside of having a season ticket (and good luck getting one of those), there is little hope of watching the match from inside the ground.
Options basically include:
- The ballot
- The ticket exchange
- Hospitality
Members can enter the ballot and cross their fingers but the chances are not good, while the ticket exchange is another option offering a slim glimmer of hope to anyone on the hunt for tickets. You can access this via the club’s website, but most spare tickets go to friends or friends of friends, so don’t hold out too much hope.
The best way to guarantee yourself entry is to buy a hospitality ticket. These are easier to get hold of, but that’s because they are so expensive.
You are looking at £480 per person at the cheapest end, and while that will get you a ticket in the stands, the hospitality itself is at a completely different venue called The Sandon which is just down the road.
Still, super fans and the super rich can still get tickets if they are willing to stump up the cash.
