Liverpool Christmas Market – November 16th – December 24th
Despite the ringing voices of people shouting “It’s not December yet!”, Liverpool’s Christmas market will be open again this year from November 16th to December 24th.
As always, it will be located at St. Georges Plateau, with the iconic St. Georges Hall overlooking the whole affair.
Visitors will be able to enjoy an abundance of food and drink stalls, hear festive music, browse independent stalls for unique Christmas gifts, and even play some funfair games. You will find a Ferris wheel, a carousel and even Santa Land for the kids among other attractions.
The market will be open every day from 11am to 10pm, so whether you want to spend a weekend wandering around the winter wonderland or you take a day off in the middle of the week to do some Christmas shopping, Liverpool’s Christmas market will be waiting to welcome you.
For locals, getting to the market will be common knowledge. For anyone coming in to visit from outside of Liverpool, it couldn’t be in a better location.
With Lime Street Station right across the road, those coming by train or Mersey rail can hop off the train and trot down the steps outside the station and they will be there. Coming by car will require parking, but there are loads of options in the centre with Q Park Queen Square, Victoria Street Car Park and Hunter Street Car Park all nearby.
The market is accessible and has a wheelchair entrances on Lime Street and William Brown Street, although the area is partly cobbled so this is something to be aware of. Extra toilets will be available including toilets for those with accessibility requirements, but organisers request that dogs are not brought onto the site unless they are working assistance dogs.
There is no fee to explore the market, and the games and rides start at just £2 a go, but with all the bars and food stalls there will be plenty that you will want to buy. All stalls will take card and most will not take cash.
There’s no better way to get in the festive spirit, so make sure you visit Liverpool’s fantastic Christmas Market this winter.
