Jurassic Takeover Day at M&S Bank Arena – 15th February

Jurassic Takeover Day at M&S Bank Arena – 15th February

After a sell-out event in 2024, the Jurassic Take-Over Day is back, with new dinosaurs, Jurassic areas, props, and loads of immersive fun.

Meet state-of-the-art animatronic dinosaurs in the UK’s only interactive walkthrough and theatre experience of its kind. Talk to a Triceratops, roar with a T-Rex, scream with a Spinosaurus, and run from a Raptor. It’s a fantastic experience for families, although be warned, small children may find it scary!

The good news though, is that the 60-minute performance lets you choose: watch from your seat or dive into the action and get up close and personal with the dinosaurs. The show is designed to suit everyone, but audience participation is a must to get the most out of it.

Highlights include Ranger training, baby dinosaurs in the Hatchery, Gyrosphere photo ops, a dinosaur show, paleontology exhibits, and a Story Time area for little ones needing quiet.

This is no ordinary theatre show. Kids are encouraged to leave their seats and get involved, and there is loads to learn too.

Tickets and Prices

Jurassic takeover day tickets

With three 90-minute sessions on the day there should be one to suit you, but tickets are limited and the show is popular, so it’s not one to leave until the last minute.

Show times are at:

  • 11:00am
  • 1:30pm
  • 4:00pm

Tickets cost £23.98 each, regardless of whether you want adult or children’s tickets. That said, ‘babes in arms’ (under 18 months) go free, but you will need to book them a ticket. It won’t charge you, but the venue needs to know for numbers.

The experience last for 90 minutes, which I think is decent value when you look at all the animatronic dinosaurs they have, the props and scenery, plus the actors who serves as rangers to guide you through and enhance the show.

The event is divided into the 60 minute theatre show, which sits between 15 minute sections at the start and end where families are free to explore the set, props, and specialist dinosaur areas.

It is advisable to arrive 20 minutes before the show starts.

The dinosaurs are coming. Will you be there to meet them?
