Go to Flight Club Liverpool Darts for a Top Night Out

Liverpool’s nightlife is such that the city is always looking for new ways to entertain visitors. There are constantly groups of stag dos and hen parties turning up and looking for something fun to do, which is why more and more themed bars tend to open and give such groups options.

Of course, the people of the city generally enjoy a good time, so those bars and pubs have an audience all week long.

That is very much what Flight Club are hoping for, with the organisation having opened a new venue in Liverpool that gives people the chance to play darts in a fun and entertaining manner.

What is Flight Club?

There will be many people who know all about Flight Club, having been to one in the past or perhaps gone to a venue that offers something similar. Plenty, however, will have no clue what it is all about and will be wondering what they should expect from their time there.

The first thing that you’re liable to notice is that the owners have opted for something of a fairground-inspired décor on the walls and all around the place. The next is the excellent atmosphere, with cheers and laughter liable to ring out all around the venue regardless of the time of day or night that you go there.

That is because the entire point of Flight Club is that they have found a way to gamify the sport of darts. If you already play it on a regular basis and spend your time taking part in a league down your local pub, this probably isn’t for you.

Instead, it is a way of getting people who have limited experience of darts to engage in the sport, thanks to clever computerised games that get you to take on your fellow players with the aim of emerging as the overall winner. If you do, you can brag about it, whilst if you don’t you can pretend it doesn’t matter because it’s all just a good laugh anyway.

The Games You Can Play

If you have never been to a Flight Club before, then you will doubtless be wondering what sort of darts games you will be expected to take part in; after all, darts isn’t something everyone is good at. The good news is that the games are targeted at being fun first and foremost, giving players six different options to choose from.

They are all fast-paced, so you won’t want to hang around once they get going. Before you play a game, everyone will have their photo taken by a camera on-site, which will then be displayed when it’s your turn to have your go or when you do something good.

It is all driven by the high-tech nature of the darts and dartboard, so you don’t need to worry about keeping score or anything of that ilk. Up to 12 people can play on one board, with the first game you might want to try being Demolition. In this, everyone starts with 180 and it’s the first to get down to zero that wins.

Killer assigns everyone a number and you win lives by hitting yours or take them away by getting someone else’s. Shanghai allows you to only score points on certain numbers, whilst Quack Shot is all about accuracy. Snakes & Ladders is just how it seems but with darts instead of dice, with Donkey Derby needing you to hit numbers to move your donkey on.

More Than Just Darts – Food and Drink Too

One of the main appeals about Flight Club in Liverpool is the fact that it is about more than just the darts. There are two different bars in the venue, promising regular drinks like beer and wine alongside brilliant cocktails and non-alcoholic options.

If you want to get a breath of fresh air, then you can head out onto the terrace that overlooks Chavasse Park, which is ideal if you’re there when the weather is playing ball. Then there are the food options, which are great for people looking to line their stomach before they have a day or night hitting the booze in a big way.

The food can be either small bites, if you’re just after something to pick at, or slightly larger options. There are sharing boards that look at the likes of food from the Middle East, or burgers and wraps if you don’t really share food. You can also get some sourdough pizzas, which are large enough to fill you up and tasty enough to mean that you might end up wanting more.

They do brunch if you’re looking to get out early, whilst the tunes will be pumping out as if you’re at a funky nightclub if your plan is to get there later on. This is more than just a place for your competitive side to come out.
