A relatively new kind of event, FORMATGG is billed as the Ultimate Gaming Social.

If you are thinking of computer nerds sitting around necking energy drinks then think again, this is nothing like that.

Yes it’s got a gaming theme, but it’s not just for gamers. FORMATGG is a nightlife movement for gamers and non-gamers which aims to revolutionise what a night out can be.

It’s the biggest event of its kind in Europe.

Everything centres around community driven development, connecting the people with those behind the games, brands, and music that they love. So you get access to game developers, musicians, and ambassadors for brands.

There will be live music all night long, game studios showcasing their latest releases which you will be able to play if you want to, and a whole host of online content creators you might already know of in attendance.

Dates and Tickets

The event is taking place on the 2nd October at BOXPARK Liverpool in the Baltic Triangle, which if you haven’t been is just the coolest venue, perfect for this sort of thing.

General admission tickets are available online, but the £15 early bird tickets have sold out. Bring some extra spends with you for drinks and food etc.

The main event takes place from 18:00 until 23:45, with last entry at 22:00. There is also an afterparty which takes place the following day at ArCains Liverpool. It runs from 19:00 until 23:45, with last entry at 23:30. Tickets cost £7 plus a booking fee and both events are 18+.

The tickets get you access to all areas of the event, so you are free to roam and only take part in the bits that interest you.

23:50–00:35 – The Just Dancers

So you could choose which of these performances you want to see and also meander over to the Kuoda VIP Creator Lounge if there is someone you want to hear speak there.

Or you can just hang at the bar for a bit and get chatting with other people.
