Can You Dance? Super Convention – Exhibition Centre Liverpool: 11th and 12th October

The UK’s largest touring dance convention will be hitting the Exhibition Centre Liverpool on the 11th and 12th of October, and the dancers among you will not want to miss it.

Can You Dance? is a super convention, which means it’s absolutely massive, and this is its flagship event, so the organisers are throwing absolutely everything at it.

What does that look like? Well, how about over 200 dance workshops run by internationally acclaimed dancers, for starters? Whether it’s ballet, contemporary, musical theatre, jazz technique, ballet, hip hop, or anything else, there will be a class you can join. Not to mention some singing and acting classes, too!

Then there are the 250+ performances that will be taking place on the main stage and centre stage, the 100+ stalls selling dancewear and equipment, plus 300+ professional dance companies and colleges you can approach and talk to about training, or finding work in the dance world, or get some general guidance from.

The convention is aimed at dancers of all levels, but it will be especially invaluable for beginners. Nowhere else will you find so much experience and knowledge in the same room.

Tickets and Prices

The Exhibition Centre is a big old venue so there are lots of tickets available – they are expecting 18,000 people to show up – but you will have to move fast if you want to buy tickets to any of the dance workshops.

For entry to the convention on a single day:

General admission – £26.50
General Admission mini (5-7 years olds) – £21.50
General admission concession (66 years+) – £20.00

For all weekend access:

General admission – £42.50
General Admission mini (5-7 years olds) – £32.50
General admission concession (66 years+) – £30.00

The workshops cost extra if you want to take part in one, but they aren’t expensive. They range from £8.00 to £12.50 depending on the workshop.
